Firefighter Halloween Treats & Safety Tips

Halloween parties, trick or treating and bags of candy are meant to be a fun time for people of all ages. When the safety of candy was in question, firefighters answered the call and continued their service to their communities in new ways.

Whether it was scanning the neighbor treats or showing their supporting faces, firefighters become a staple of the popular October tradition.  Once again they became synonymous with safety, not just a popular costume.

That tradition continues today. Firehouses across the nation sponsor community driven “trick or treat” events, where kids can come have a great time and parents can be reassured that candy is safe and not tampered with.  Some even have lavish parades and Halloween parties where the costumed community can enjoy the holiday and feel safe once again by Firefighters.
