Hero's Name: Retired FF/EMT Sid H.
Over 32 years with West Metro Fire Rescue in Lakewood, Colorado
I just want to encourage the younger Firefighters to remember how it felt to finally get on after all that work, and to keep that fire burning inside so you can be the very best version of yourself. Believe me it can be hard at times but after 32+ years I still have it, maybe just an ember but at 70 years old I still go to the gym and I think about what the the job has done for me, and the brothers that I have lost and those I stay close to. Good luck to all who chose to do this job and as always STAY SAFE!
