In 1985 I was in the Navy stationed at the Naval Air Station on Boca Chica Key in Florida. I was also a volunteer firefighter with the Stock Island Volunteer Fire Department.

I was living off base in a single wide trailer across from the fire station. One day my trailer was broken into and I was robbed of some personal items. About a few days later we received a call of a stabbing. When we got on scene, I noticed blood on this guy's shirt so I proceeded to use my trauma scissors and cut the shirt so I could look for other injuries.

As I was cutting, I noticed that it was my shirt I was cutting! Trying to stay professional, we loaded this guy in the ambulance, then I proceeded to let the police know this was the guy who robbed me.

After the ambulance took him to the hospital, we followed the blood trail to his trailer and found all my stolen stuff among other peoples items. I found out later when the police arrested this guy... his name was Ronald MacDonald.
